I'm studying Chinese in Tainan, Taiwan.

Places tend to grow on me, so while I came to Tainan to study Chinese without much concern for the city itself, I've come to love the city and learn a good deal about it.

Previously lived in New York, USA; Riga, Latvia; Beijing, China.

I research Chinese politics--so that's a topic for bountiful conversation. Otherwise, my interests include but are not limited to: philosophy, literature, owls, good conversations, odd historical facts, mochi balls. And many other things. You should probably just ask me.
