ABOUT ME

Ahoyhoy! I'm a student of wildlife and I'm from the sticks. My best thinking is done in trees. I like hearing people's stories, and if I've met you I probably like you.

I love giving people a warm place to hang out, but I'm probably not gonna be able to party down with you. As a student, I am by default poor and busy, so you'll need to be prepared to feed and entertain yourself.

If you're hosting me, I'm super respectful, quiet, and easy to please. A patch of floor and a place to warm up my oatmeal makes me happy. I don't even smell bad!

My roommate (the lovely and fabulous Bridget McGraw) and I are mostly hosting now, getting to know the rad types of people who drift through Arcata. One day (soon), I will couchsurf the world!

Swimming, dayhiking, backpacking, mountain biking, bouldering, snowshoeing, making campfires, eating freeze-dried food in the woods, playing frisbee on the beach, crabbing off the pier, live music, feminist/ queer events, playing pool at the brewery, hitting up and making little fingerprint-molds out of the melted wax from a candle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dropped an unopened bottle of wine out of a tree once - maybe 50 feet in the air. I'm telling you the tree set that bottle down near the roots so gently, it was completely unscathed. The tree PROVIDES!

Teach, Learn, Share

Right now I'm really interested in learning about Tibetan Bhuddism and meditative practices, and how to fix my bike. It's name is Cherry Bomb and it's got a lot of problems.
