ABOUT ME
I look at my life as a series of incarnations. First was growing up in Florida, graduating college, brief marriage, a few professional jobs in the medical field. Second, the "drop out" phase where I traveled in Europe and became a back to the land hippie, lived in communes, good times. Third, the "drop back in" phase which began in the early 80's, raised a child and I became the Vermont State Health Inspector for 20 years and saved money. The fourth phase - retirement at 59, part time antique dealer, sold everything I owned and became a vagabond (full time RVer) which is what I do now.
PHILOSOPHY
"When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change"
I try to control my thoughts so my life is simpler and more peaceful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far it is absolutely a wonderful experience. I travel by myself and love being able to visit with people along the way. Making new friends and learning about a town from the inside. Since I am a full time RVer, my experience is more along the lines of CurbSurfing or BackyardSurfing. Sometimes it is a Parking Lot. When I visit someone, we often have meals together, hang out, see the sights maybe, but when it comes to sleeping I retire to my RV, nothing like traveling and still being able to sleep in your own bed every night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flew an airplane.
Lived for a year in a 16th Century stone hut in the south of France. The year was 1972, I was hitchhiking around Europe and heard about this village, Bardou, that a German man bought, house by house, and for a small fee you could stay there. No plumbing, no electricity, just a fireplace to cook over and keep warm by. I made and sold bread, I raised geese and ducks. Good times.
I won't begin to tell you all the amazing things I saw when I worked as a Health Inspector.
Just last week I swam with the Manatees in Homosassa Florida!
