I actually cannot host much and I don't think you would like to stay at my home. I am currently living and working outside Ho Chi Minh City and there is not much to see here.
What I can offer you is a day-trip to Cu Chi Tunnel, which is about 17 km from where I live. As a local, I believe my knowledge on the historical site will provide you with the most balanced understanding, neither too government-oriented nor the other end.
