Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to various genres. Electronic Music(Art Department, Sub Focus, Nicolas Jaar, Burial, Floating Points, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinasours) some of my fav Djs. Rap for sure (Tupac, Biggie, Drake, Ye, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar). I love Brazilian music too. MPB and Bossa Nova mostly. Marcelo D2 and O Rappa are also cool. Lately in love with Ukrainian music(Okean Elzy, Khrystyna Soloviy, Kazka). Russian dance music beats are also not bad. Radwimps from Japan is dope. I like to listen Turkish folk and rock music sometimes. All time favorites are Marvin Gaye, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, Tame Impala, Michael Kiwanuka, Nina Simone, Fela Kuti, Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Edith Piaf, Queen, Bob Marley, Coldplay, Drake, Daft Punk etc.

My all time fav Director is Kubrick. Love Woody Allen. Seen all Tarantino stuff. I mostly follow the Directors. Nolan, Jarmusch, Bergman, Tarkovsky, Chaplin, Hitchcock, NBC, Majidi, David Lynch, Lucas, Eisenstein, Haneke, Wong Kar-Wai, Chen Kaige, Miyazaki, Scorsese. Actually there are heaps of Directors that I really adore and sure I keep discovering! Love cinema. Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, Breaking Bad, True Detective are one my favorite TV series. I love stand-up comedy, especially Dave Chappelle.

It's all started with The Harry Potter. Best series ever! Then Dostoevsky came in. Samuel P. Huntington's The Clash of Civilizations is my reference guide as an international relations graduate. Love poetry. Unfortunately I don't read much lately other than New York Times, Nikkei etc. I think this happened ever since I tried to read James Joyce’s Ulysses...
