About Me
I'm in the best phase of my life because ever since I have started traveling I have moved from collecting things to collecting experiences.
I quit my job in 2005 to see the world and appreciate God's creation and looking back, it has been the best decision of my life yet!
Family and friends describe me as a very positive and happy person who is always smiling. I love intelligent conversations and I get along best with people who have a good sense of humour.
Each of the 30 countries I've visited had something special and unique to offer. Some had stunning landscapes, some incredible history and others had great food. But my favourite countries are the ones that had people who are warm, welcoming and pleasant. Thankfully, there were many of those where people opened their homes and hearts to me. These are the ones I keep going back to!
Sharing travel stories and making people laugh is what I am best at :)

Philosophy
I'll let a few of my favourite quotes and thoughts define my philosophy:
"All the water in the sea cannot sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, All the negativity in the world cannot put you down unless you allow it to get inside you."
"Love needs courage, the courage to allow your heart to swallow the logic of your mind. Without courage love is just an idea."
"Old friends are the best but to have more old friends we need to make new ones"
"Whenever in two minds, toss a coin - not to settle the question, but because while it is in the air, you will know what your heart is hoping for!"
"People were created to be loved and Things were created to be used. The reason the world is in chaos is because Things are being loved and People are being used."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The world is getting more and more impersonal with each passing day. We communicate via emails / WhatsApp, we hardly know our neighbors and tour guides are now automated machines in air conditioned buses which don't even allow us to breathe the air of the new place we are visiting. Tourism seems to be more about counting the landmarks seen than counting the hearts and souls we touched during our travels.
Couchsurfing has allowed me to overcome all of this and enjoy travel to a new place the way it is meant to be. Meet new people, learn new things, experience and appreciate cultural differences and enjoy the beauty of nature. Most of all it gives you a chance to experience the Joy of Giving!
Interests
Writing, Travelling, Movies, Financial Markets, Learning Spanish/ Portuguese. I'm in the process of completing my very first mystery/romance novel and dream of making a graphic novel /animation movie someday.
I've grown up in a busy, crowded and noisy 'big city' so I love quiet peaceful places... mountains and beaches top my list. Ergo, I am not fond of noisy crowded/smoke filled bars/pubs/discs etc. Prefer house parties and interesting and/or humorous conversations with friends over a meal or coffee.
