About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To share our home and family with others, and enjoy the hospitality of others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have enjoyed travel, and the hospitality of others. We have a busy family life at home, but think that if someone is trying to get a feel for family life in the Midwest US, we're probably a pretty good place to look. We enjoy meeting others and sharing cultures, meals, and stories.
Interests
Reading across many genres. Outdoor activities like hiking and camping. Travel. Good coffee. Good food. Good drinks. Computers, internet, and technology in general. Great conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Very eclectic musical tastes, but tend toward classic (60s-80s), modern rock and metal. Some techno and long instrumental bands. But I'll give a listen to most anything if I'm in the mood for it- except Country and Western. Not so much there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to the Middle East and took my then 5 year old son along with me. It was like traveling with a rock star!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not a super experienced world traveler, but I/we tend to travel and adapt well wherever we go. I'm happy to learn some useful local language, eat local food, and take advice from everyday people on what to see and do. I prefer to spend my money with local people and businesses, whether it is for accommodations, transport, food, etc. As I noted above, we are a pretty typical family, and someone who comes to stay with us would have a great "family" experience. As such, yes, we are kid friendly too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A desire to learn and experience your home, your town, your country. Oh, and I've been known to fix stuff from time to time- bad wifi, dead Keurigs, flakey computers, etc. Not afraid to roll up the sleeves and earn our keep.
