PHILOSOPHY

I am not religious. In my opinion everyone should make up his/her own mind of what is important and what we have to be careful about - sustainability that is for me - rather than copying what other people once might have said. And never stop questioning and improving your ideas about the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed a few couches in spring 2010, now I've started hosting people myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A great way of getting to know local people which is what travelling is really about. Never had a bad experience with CS.

Books: I seldom read a book from cover to cover.

I jumped from a bridge for fun which other people use for suicide.

Teach: All sorts of things, science, history, culture. I have accumulated at least some knowledge about Basel and Switzerland because previous couch surfers told me so ;-). Still can't sing the Swiss national anthem though.
Learn: Local culture and history, other opinions and philosophies, more languages (but I'm really bad at memorizing vocabulary and thus becoming unwilling to learn the language), new foods
