About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to walk every step in love and light with the best intention possible...to continue making a difference in the lives of youth...oh yes, and to find some couches in spain this summer!

ABOUT ME

what can i say? im fun, smart, passionate, generous, friendly, respectful, have a lot of energy, and i go where the wind takes me. i have three amazing sisters, and im the third. born and raised in NY, but my parents immigrated from Libya. its really strange to be one of the only people around from your culture, bc barely any Libyans around here. what else? just that im good people.

PHILOSOPHY

i live my life to love and to serve. love is my religion, and so is music. i cannot imagine having a job that doesnt help people or make the world a better place.

Music, Movies, and Books

SIX FEET UNDER is the best show ever made! um, as far as movies--the Godfather I and II. Music is my life-- I listen to almost everything: house, soul, hip-hop, rock--classic, and what they used to call alternative in the 80s/90s--Morrissey/Smiths, Depeche Mode, etc.; jazz, música en español (salsa, jazz, rock) what they are now calling "electrosoul"--Foreign Exchange, Platinum Pied Pipers, Coultrain. What I have been listening to non-stop for the last few months--the new Q-Tip is ridiculous!, Bebe, PPP, Coultrain, Fat Freddy's Drop, Pistolera, the Roots, different House mixes...idk, its hard to categorize and mention all the stuff I listen to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Feb 17, 2011: The day my Libyan people rose up. March 2011, the day I met my twin nephews for the first time (2 mos old at the time). New Years's Y2K, dancing in the rain in Boraceia, a small island off the coast of Sao Paolo Estado in Brasil. Venus Ceremony on Ocean Beach in San Francisco on 6/5/12 left me in pure awe and humility. The moment my best friend asked me if I would officiate her wedding. Goodness, so many things have left me awestruck its too many to write!
