I travel a lot and I believe that people don't have to spend too much money in hotels as they can enjoy their time while being hosted by different people from different cultures . Definitely this will add to their experience like for examples if you are staying in a hotel they will just show you the touristic places but with natives you can know more about the history of the places and unexpected sight seeing
