Overview
About Me
I am an English teacher in Auckland, NZ for an English Academy. I have lived here for 3 years.
I know it may sound a bit weird but it is very common for non-native speakers to teach English as a second language. Here is my https://www.instagram.com/englishwithwagner/
My personal IG is https://www.instagram.com/wagner.camargo259
I have taught students from all over the world, including Easter Island.
The cultural experience is great.
I am going to the USA in December to fulfill a dream: visit LA :)
I have always wanted to see what LA is like in person, but never had the chance. I'm staying from 17/12/19 to the 01/01/2020.
I was hoping one of you could host me for a few days. The hostels are very expensive at this time of the year. I mean, VERY!
One, or two days or more if you can. I can teach you how to cook Brazilian food, dance and how to speak Portuguese and maybe a bit of Spanish!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just love travelling and meeting new people.
I always meet people from all over the world in class, so it is my time to travel a bit.
If I can host you while I am here in NZ, let me know. Will try my best to do so.
Interests
I love hiking and visiting new places. It makes me feel better.
I also enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds and having the opportunity to understand their culture.
I'm fond of great music, food and fun talks.
My students say I am very funny. Maybe it is my face. =)
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book is The Little Prince. It taught me so much about life and our connections to other people. It's a book I would love to read again, as soon as I have time.
After I became a workaholic, I stopped watching movies, but I would like to watch them more often when I start my trip.
I'm not sure what my favorite movie is, but I would guess it is the Wizard of Oz-I'm keen on classics!
I like MPB and Bossa Nova, but I don't think I have a favorite song.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say it was my trip to Washington D.C. I had always wanted to travel abroad, and my dream came true in 2008 when I received a scholarship from the American Embassy in Brazil.
I met people from different countries and also from the other Brazilian states, who are still my friends.
I'm really looking forward to travelling again.
Teach, Learn, Share
Show me around. I would love to see what LA has to offer while I am there. It won't be for too long, but I am sure I will enjoy it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Brazilian food, dance, language and clean the house if you need!
