ABOUT ME
Lets see... I am a transient by nature with a seemingly unquenchable wanderlust. I love to meet new people and make new friends. Big fan of all kinds of music, especially live music. I am a water bug. I love being on the water, especially sailing. When visiting a new city, I would like to see what the local contemporary art scene is pumping out, as well as local musicians. When traveling, I would like to visit the local haunts, and avoid tourist traps if possible. I am interested learning about the local cultures. Not a big fan of TV. I like to try new things...including music, foods and local brews. I like to share stories, writing, music, recipes, art and experience.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that as long as you love freely, share and be kind life is better.
I also believe in karma... what goes around comes around. It's a good thing to keep in the back of your head.... :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Besides donating and turning a few friends on, I host travelers, bands, and share the cool stuff there is to share in this great city. Charleston is incredible! I enjoy sharing with others what people have shared with me, wonderful experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had some wonderful experiences surfing and hosting, making lifelong friends... exploring, crossing oceans in small boats, white water rafting, exploring ruins, hiking, riding horses, soaking in wilderness hot springs, diving for conch and lobster, wandering new city centres, being treated as a friend and not as a tourist, hosting couchsurfers and bands together for huge parties at my house, learning new languages, customs and protocols, Turning new friends onto new music, riding 4-wheelers across islands, looking for sea glass, LIVING, going for road trips, surfing new breaks, catching and eating new fish, being able to host and cook for guest, being tour guide to new people and those who have hosted me before It feels so good to return the favor, cooking with my host and learning new recipes and always searching out the best music, food, wines, local horticulture and cheeses ever! Corn liquor nights with live bluegrass and jazz in the living room.

Music, Movies, and Books
ALL OF IT!!! THAT IS THE ONLY WAY WE LEARN AND DISCOVER.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done has been the fact that I worked long hard hours and made many sacrifices in building a business that not only provides a lively hood for eight other people, but allows me to travel once in a while. I love the people I work with. I also caught and released a beautiful White Marlin while sailing from South Carolina to Totolla BVI.
Teach, Learn, Share
My knowledge is a open book to all my friends. I will learn all they have to share and I will teach all they want to learn.
