About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To visit the proverbial corners of the world.
ABOUT ME
I am a happy go lucky kind of girl. I take all things in stride and work my hardest to love each moment of my life. I live for that perfect photograph and often go hiking in the mountains to find it. I am passionate about everything I do and always dive right in. I'm not afraid to get wet and I love all things that life has to offer. I'm also notoriously awful at writing about myself, so please forgive the succinctness of this introduction!
PHILOSOPHY
"And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh."
-- Friedrich Nietzsche
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My friend and I are traveling across Europe in a few weeks' time and heard about this site through another friend. We thought it would be great to experience new parts of the world with someone who knows the secrets. What's more is we thought it would be wonderful to offer our couch to travelers, as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have yet to experience it.
Interests
Philosophy! Photography! Painting! All kinds of art including music, drawing, architecture (talk about amazing photography), and poetry. Reading!
My favorite artist is the famous surrealist Salvador Dali. I'm looking forward to the day that I get to visit his home town, burial place, and museum in Figueras, Spain!
As a photographer, I naturally love photography. Ansel Adams, however cliché, is an amazing photographer. I have recently been bitten by the HDR bug and I adore browsing through beautiful HDR photography on flickr.com. I've only successfully managed three or four HDR shots, but my travels in Europe are going to provide interesting new opportunities!

Music, Movies, and Books
The Last Unicorn. I grew up on that movie.
Hunter S. Thompson is my favorite author.
I love all things Philosophy. I recently finished Thus Spake Zarathustra and I'm officially on a Nietzsche kick.
I daresay that Tool is my favorite band, and has been since I was 13. The reality is that I love all music that is tastefully done. Whiny music and "gangster" rap, so to speak, are not my forte. Some of my other favorite bands include Radiohead, Tori Amos, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Nina Simone, Nat King Cole, Kevin Spacey (yes, he sings), The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Streetlight Manifesto, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Ace of Base, Bad Religion, Pink, and the list could go on and on forever. I'd love to be introduced to new music!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Belize when I was 17 and raced half wild horses across a muddy field. It was an experience that I will never, ever forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is such a wonderful philosophy. I realize that life isn't about the destination, but about the journey and this community mentality only facilitates the beauty that is the journey of life.
I can teach my culinary secrets, the art of photography, and all things English.
I love to learn all that I can. People call me a vast store of almost entirely useless information and I blame that wholly on my thirst for knowledge. Nothing is too insignificant to be learned :)
