ABOUT ME

A workaholic that definitely needs to get out more, I'll try just about anything once, twice if I like it :) Things I like to do: go out to eat, hit the beach, see movies, go to bars and clubs, walk around Chicago, shop, bowling, golf, volleyball. I enjoy just about any music style and really need to travel a lot more than I do.

Edit* Still like doing all of this stuff, just learning how to do it in the 'Nati now!

PHILOSOPHY

Suppose it's time to update this. I try to lead a life of enjoying making people have better experiences. Whether it's in my professional or personal adventures, if I can bring joy to others and enhance the quality of the experience for them, then that brings me joy. If your having a good time, then I'm having a good time. Unless you just kicked me in the shin, then we have an issue :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Was an active member in the Chicago area, I helped moderate and coordinate events for the Chicago Food Discovery Group. Hosting and have had a great time doing so. Now I have created the Cincinnati Food Discovery Group and looking for ways to get the good word about Couchsurfing out to my people here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Extremely positive so far. Having a great time meeting new people and trying new things. Hosting and surfing has brought me in contact with some amazing people and I really treasure the time an adventures I have with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love going to Movies, most any kind except horror/slasher/gorefests. That being said, I do enjoy good zombie movies. I think a healthy dose of art house flicks and blockbuster-popcorn-brainless fare is good for anyone.
Music: Rock, Alternative, House/electronica, Jazz, Blues, a little rap, a little country
Books: I prefer something with humor- Terry Prachett, Douglas Adams style writers. Latest books read: Neuromance-william gibson; World War Z- Max Brooks
Reading: Fragile Things- Neil Gaiman

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmm.. how do you determine amazing? One persons amazing is another persons commonplace. Sometimes I'm amazed that I got out of bed in the morning or amazed I haven't gone completely round the bend :) Besides, If I give my amazing thing done and seen, that cuts into my conversation material when I'm out and about with other surfers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Really need to get my bum in gear and learn another language. I'm amazed at how how just about every other nation in the world has a culture that promotes multi-lingual people, yet the common wisdom in America is English Only please.
