Hey guys,

How I hate this question! :D ... about me? what would I write about me?? pues.. I´m Walid Akef, 26 years old, Egyptian but universal, as I see that the whole world is my homeland... I´ve a wonderful family consisted of my parents along with 7 brothers and sisters.. hey don´t panic! their homeland lies in my heart :D as I adore all of them..

I work in the Department of Archaeolgy, in the Faculty of Arts, in Ain Shams University in Cairo as a teaching assistant. I adore my profession, as I´ve always been dreaming of being a professor and author at the same time. Hence, I´m conducting now my MA, then I´ll be heading to do the PHD. One other thing that I adore is learning languages.. I´m pretty sure that one day I´ll be able to speak 5 languages, except the german :D.. a joke

Travelling the whole world is one of my dreams... accomplishing this dream now, in the age of globalization, internet and couchsurfing is not a big deal.... thats why I'm here...so simply..

Interests

I- Hobbies

Running, playing football, doing Aerobics, swimming, photography, watching movies and before all, reading.

II-Reading

Apart from my academic interests, like reading in art history, history of architecture, las maravillas del mundo..etc, I adore reading on space staff, aliens, black holes..etc, in addition to reading poetry and literature.

III-Movies

Action, historical and science fiction movies are my favourite ones. But, very few times I might like to watch romantic movies although I think that I´m so romantic :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually I don´t have a favourite genre of music, I like soft music generally; so, the classic realm is beloved to me. Currently, my favourite composers would be Kenny G, Yanny and Hans Zimmer.

I´ve always been saying that my favourite movie is "A Beautiful Mind", buy I think that "Forest Gump", "A Winter´s Tale", "Limitless" and "Love Rosie" would be in the same top-ten.

Concerning my favourite book, maybe I don't have any, but my favourite novel would be "el alquimista".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the hosts arabic, spanish or english languages. I can open with them conversations about everything related to my oriental society, my country...etc. In addition, I can teach you how to whistle with just one finger :D

I would like to know more about the society of the hosts and its characteristics, how people think, behave and live. Morever, I would love to have linguistic swap, or at least to learn a little bit of the language of the hosts.
