About Me

People describe me as down-to-earth, chill, and an open-minded person who strongly believes in living life and change. I am a go-getter and believe in constant learning. I like to learn about different cultures, talk to people, build new connections, keep up with friends, and strive to be a better me every single day of my life. I strongly believe that with passion and determination, I can achieve all my goals. I am addicted to exercise. I feel myself with real people, in real environments--I'd rather be at a worn down, rustic cafe, surrounded by real talk than superficial places.

I love music, dance, having good times with enjoyable company. I enjoy writing, photography, traveling...just about anything I can wrap my mind around.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in constant change--change in every single aspect of ones life. I live by the following idea: Make, make, make, break, constantly make make: there is no final version of myself. I believe that the human being, similar to how our bodies work biologically, should constantly change...one's identity is not a forgone conclusion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use this because I sincerely like to travel in order to learn about the culture and people of that country. This website has made that possible, and because of it, my traveling experience always brings real memories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been amazed how helpful and incredibly organized CouchSurfing. This has been and continues to be a warm experience. CouchSurfing has truly made traveling an enriching experience so that if your goal isn't just to vacation, but actually learn about the culture of a country, you have a genuine chance of making that happen. It's symbolic of just how connected the world is now--the fact that you can instantly connect with people in countries you may have never stepped your foot in before!

Music, Movies, and Books

The arts are an imitation of life. I thoroughly appreciate music, movies, books, etc.

My favorite type of music is hip-hop/R & B; I also like listening to music from other countries.

Books: Siddhartha, This Side of Paradise, The Brothers Karamozov, Paradise of the Blind, The Pact, any Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel, The Book Thief, An American Childhood, 1948, Noughts & Crosses

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I joined CrossFit a year ago, and that's been the most personally transformative thing for myself.

Traveling wise, I went into the industrial worker's town called El-Mahalla El-Kubra in Egypt...this was the place where the April 6th Movement began--the roots of the Jan 25th.

Living away from home is difficult, yet pretty amazing. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a super chill person; I can be great company if you want, or I can be completely independent in my travels as well -- whatever works for you.
