About Me
Well,
I graduated college a few years ago and after working a few odd jobs in Chicago and experiencing the "what to do with my life" crisis I got married and my wife and I moved to Spain. Now, I still am currently wondering what I should do with my life, but I am loving the Spanish weather and food and I am doing my best to learn the language.
My wife and I love trying to things, having adventures, and seeing life through other people's eyes (as much as is possible).
We are very chill and love to have good conversation, food and company!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I want to explore and adventure as much as I can!
Also I firmly believe that the best way to travel and discover a new place is to learn from those who already live there. I want to meet people with similar interests as me in order to learn from them and experience what it means to them to live in their city. I'm not on Couchsurfing to save money but rather to expand my community wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books
Let's see.....
For music I really just love anything with a good beat and rhythm. I love to play the drums and therefore I listen for the drums first in any song. I also love anything with a beautiful melody and anything that gets me dancing and jumping around!
My favorite movie is definitely the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Beyond that I'm a fan of crime thrillers and war movies. Also comedies that are well-acted and have original humor. Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I Love You Man are probably my two favorite comedies and Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and Elite Squad: the Enemy Within are some of my favorite action movies. I love inspiring movies that make me want to solve all the world's problems and be a hero!
As far as books, I come from a family that LOVES reading, so I've grown up surrounded by all kinds of books and literary genres. Currently I'm reading Michael Connelly crime thrillers- the Harry Bosch series. I just finished reading a number of George Pelecanos crime thrillers and some really wonderful WW2 era spy thrillers by Alan Furst.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving is the most exhilarating thing that I have done.
Besides that, traveling. I have hiked around Machu Picchu in Peru and ancient temples in Mexico. I have see the inside of German WW2 bunkers in France and marveled at the Redwood trees of California. I have explored beautiful lakes and arctic winters in the Northern Midwest of the USA and seen the wine and olives of Spain.
But, hopefully, the best is yet to come!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always eager to learn more about history, culture and food.
I love hearing ideas about beers to try, books to read and places to go.
I would love to share with you pictures of the winters in Minnesota and pictures of my adorable cats.
I can teach you to play a card game called Dominion and how to do a few juggling tricks!
