About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take great trips, both big and small, when I can (and become an urban planner).

ABOUT ME

I enjoy being active and swimming, running, walking, biking, reading, writing and cooking. I need a balance of quiet time & stimulation. I take trips, large & small, whenever possible.

My preferred trips are the Caminos de Santiago in Spain. I have completed three of the principal pilgrimage routes to Santiago (Camino Frances, Via de la Plata, Camino del Norte).

PHILOSOPHY

equilibrium is essential

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many couchsurfers in Berkeley, CA, have stayed with one family in Arkansas, a host in Madrid & a host in Zurich.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences have been wonderful! I really enjoy hosting, meeting new people and hearing travel stories. I also enjoy meeting new people I stay with and bartering stories with them. My favorite experience was a friendship forged with a surfer from Lyon, France. I hosted him in Berkeley, then stayed with him in Lyon a year later.

Interests

Traveling, urban planning, sustainability, human relationships, animals, astronomy, ecosystems; generally everything: I'm very curious.
