ABOUT ME

I'm an energetic girl from New Hampshire who loves to travel and meet new people. This year I'm serving with AmeriCorps NCCC and with my team I've been from Baton Rouge to Hollywood and from Seattle to El Paso. I also spent a semester abroad in Spain when I was in high school.
I'll be attending San Francisco State University in the fall and living in Berkeley with a friend of mine.
I love to cook and try new foods and live the vegan lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment because I'm traveling with my AmeriCorps team I am unable to host, however, once I move to Berkeley and get settled I hope to be able to host! I would love to swap stories, however, and get to know other CSers in the area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only know about CouchSurfing from friends who have had great experiences doing it and have met some fantastic people. I only hope that I will have as great an experience!

Interests

I love to cook and bake as well as do other crafty things like bead and knit. Reading is quite high on my list of things I would be happy doing for 24 hours straight. I'm also really into doing things outside, especially hiking and activities of that nature. I love listening to music and enjoy music from all over the world and of all kinds, I'll listen to anything once!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two of the most amazing things I've ever seen were seen on the same day and, most likely only struck me as so amazing because they were in such a timely juxtaposition. My AmeriCorps team made a stop on an early April morning at the Grand Canyon in Arizona and I was awed by the beauty and vastness that had bean created completely by natural forces. That evening we went to the Strip in Las Vegas and I was awed by how well we had tamed and controlled the natural world and shaped it to fit our needs and desires.
