About Me
Currently studying the disciplines of History and French at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma; this semester I'm pursuing a semester abroad in Rennes to improve my French language skills. I've studied French since 2009, and while I would class myself as competent, I still wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a fluent speaker (although I can comprehend far better than I can speak or write).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, my sister seems to have profited from this site, and we used it during the vacation de Toussaint, so I thought I might as well test it out myself. As a student, it can be difficult to afford hotels at full price, and couchsurfing gives an opportunity to experience local life as well, which hotels can't provide. As far as hosting goes, my status as a student living on school property probably bars me from being eligible, unfortunately. However, upon graduation I would like to begin hosting as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Maybe I shouldn't qualify it as "amazing" in the sense of extraordinary, but I'm currently studying abroad, which has been personally quite fulfilling. Hm. I was also an amateur placed with a team of archaeologists on the site of a Roman fort (near Hadrian's Wall) in the summer of 2013.
Teach, Learn, Share
Travels, culture, music, academia (history and literature), religion and philosophy: all of the above and more are topics I enjoy discussing ( caution: with varying competency in each). Otherwise, I love to learn, whether it be a snippet of local knowledge or the tools of a new trade.
What I Can Share with Hosts
In Europe, an opportunity to practice English or to teach your own language, should that type of activity strike your fancy. I can't promise hours of engaging conversation, but I certainly will try to provide such! And where words fail rest assured that you can at least be assured of my gratitude.
