Resumen
Sobre mí
Hi Fellow Couchsurfer, my name is Sarah Espinoza. I'm adventurous and willing to try something new at least once (unless there are worms involved). I'm a traveling soul learning how we all connect through love and friendship.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California and think it's one of the most creative busy places I've been too. I live about 15min south of Downtown Los Angeles (driving). This profile says Altadena..but I recently moved.
As of Jan 2017, my partner Jonathan and I welcomed our daughter, Amora. We are now even more dedicated to sharing the beautiful sights/people that our world offers with her. Amora has two furry brothers an adopted Pit Bull/Wired Terrier mix named Monty. For those that see him, Monty may remind them of a mini-Pit Bull that was electrocuted; it was his Mohawk that won me over. And we have Smoke, a blue nose Pitt with a heart of gold.
Since 2006, I've invested in building my career in the non-profit sector focusing in the arts, environment and/or social issues.
For the last couple years I have been working in Los Angeles's Skid Row community. Skid Row contains one of the largest stable populations between 3,000 to 6,000 homeless people in the United States.
In a place desperate for hope, the Downtown Women's Center's mission is to provide permanent supportive housing and a safe and healthy community fostering dignity, respect, and personal stability, and to advocate ending homelessness for women.
I am now able to serve by providing vocational and educational counseling to a caseload of women. Working one-on-one or in a group setting to assist them with goal-planning and provide linkage to appropriate internal and external resources; as well as develop and oversee methods to evaluate participant goals and skill sets. I'm using my current experience to help guide my professional goal of teaching community leaders to develop efficient and sustainable social enterprises to infuse systemic change locally and globally.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
There are so many reasons:
I know how it is to travel on a budget & be completely lost in a new place. I want to offer a great time to adventurous minds in the beautiful city of Los Angeles.
Intereses
find serenity in painting, tending to my modest garden, hiking or reading a juicy book. (goodness that sounds soOo corny..but it's true!) I love to travel and get out of my bubble. I also enjoy hanging out with my kid, family, friends and having a good laugh.

Algo increíble que he hecho
Wow...that's tough! Not cause I can't think of one..it's cause there are so many. I have to say, one of my favorite things was Scuba Diving in Mexico's Cenotes. That was the first time that I truly believed and experienced the power of God, it was soOo beautiful.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Traveling through the world produces a marvelous clarity in the judgment of men. We are all of us confined and enclosed within ourselves, and see no farther than the end of our nose. This great world is a mirror where we must see ourselves in order to know ourselves. There are so many different tempers, so many different points of view, judgments, opinions, laws and customs to teach us to judge wisely on our own, and to teach our judgment to recognize its imperfection and natural weakness. -Michel de Montaigne
