ABOUT ME

I am a person who loves learning, traveling and making friends, I studied tourism, and used to work as a tour guide, I love camping, and hiking, and discovering places that most of all people ignores, I love scuba diving, and rappel, caves are my passion, speleism is the best :p
I looove dancing!!!
I love learning languages, spetially those ones nobody can speak.... it's a sort of challenge.
I am very direct, and independent, so if you ask me If I need your help and I really need it, I will tell you, in other case I will thank you, and tell you I can handle it by myself.
If you have questions ask me, don't assume nor guess, remember the way you ask is the way you receive.
I don't mind if you only have one day at city, I know sometimes schedules are very tight, but at least take a time to share with me, I always love to learn something new.
Please, don't ask me never to cook!! You could die if I try it to... cause I don't know how to cook (and i don't like it!!). But I'll be willing to wash dishes xD
Talking about food, I am vegetarian, If you are at my place and want to eat salades be my guess. If you want to bring your own food that's ok for me, but don't surprise if you invite me and i say "No thanks" (no offense)
If I'am at yours (in fact I will tell you before I arrive, so If I'm with you is cause you already know, and you won't think I am rude if I refuse your invitation to eat) respect my choice please!!
I love animals, so please if you are a lover of bullfighting , cockfighting , dog fight or something like that, please, just don't even mentioned nor try to convince me when we chat that this is nice. I will deffend always the bull, the cock and the dog... Always!!
I don't have religión, but I know about the most populars or importants, so please if we talk about your culture (religión is an important part of some cultures) don't try to convince me or convert me, I respect your choice, respect mine!
You are wellcome all time you need or want, just don't ask me to wake up early, that's only thing I ask, my work's schedule is pretty random...so maybe today I can be with you all day walking through the city and tomorrow you have to be by yourself... :(

If I am on your place... as long as I don't have to break my code of ethics or moral... your place your rules.

PHILOSOPHY

Try and leave this world a little better than I found it so when my turn comes to die, I can die happy in feeling that at any rate I have, not wasted my time, but have done my best.

Well... even if I have done a kind of couchsurfing before (I've stayed/received at/to my friend's friends) this is a kind of new for me, I've heard about the website and I think "why don't".
I like to meet people, learn about their culture, language, traditions. I don't like people choose things for me... cause usually I choose things for other people xD, and by taking pre-payed tours, you see ONLY what travel agencies want to show you, that usually is what all people use to see (I work on tourism and I know how does it work... there are really touristic places you shouldn't miss, but belive me there is more than just Mayans and Chichen Itza or Paris and Eiffel Tower), it's like live into a bubble. Hostels are great!! Awesome places for meeting people aswell, but most of all times are people who love to travel (as you are), you can make really nice friends or travelmates here, but at the end, both of you will be so freaking lost, asking local people xD
So why, am I on Couchsurfing? Cause, no matter the budget I travel with, stay with local people helps to learn more about the place, the language, the real culture and the way real local people (of somewhere) are, there wont be something for telling you (how do they talk, how do they dress, how do they cook, how do they live and have fun) cause you were living as one of them, you are part of that culture in the moment they offer you their couch!

Interessi

I am interested in culture, share my culture and learn about someone else's.
I love historical places and museums, watch traditional festivals, music and dances, if it's posible wear tipical dresses too, I love natural places, spetially caves and/or grottos, Taking pictures at sunset and to the moon is a hobby, and of course taking pictures to beautifuls sceneries (naturals or buildings). I am not a huge fan of gastronomy, but I am willing to taste some dishes (dairy vegetarian), I should admit I only eat for survive (if we are talking about desserts things change)

I'm interested to meet friendly and talkative people, if you are just thinking about party, maybe I am not the person you should meet, I mean yes I love partys, but I love culture, and history, and talk and learn; and if you will be here just one night and wanna go to party, c'mon, let's get a dinner or even a beer in a bar for talking I guess it would be nicer, it's not a rule, maybe you are tired and want to sleep or don't have money enough, I respect that!! but if you gonna be here at least 3 days and have the attitude we can go to dinner and dance :)

Musica, film e libri

-I really enjoy go to movies. There are a few movies I like, but in this moment one that came to my mind is "The Inception".
-I feel good listening almost all kind of music, but electronic music, nor cumbias (usually tipical from México and Colombia :p ), I like 70´s - 80´s music, mariachi, trova, rock, clasical, opera, salsa, and latin rythms of course I love to dance aswell!!
-I use to read a lot... One of my favorite books always... "The Little Prince", no matter how many times i read this book, I always discover something new about me.

I am pretty sure that travel alone is the most amazing thing I've ever done, just is incredible!!

I am willing to learn about, languages, and all about the culture (except if this implies hurt people or animals) dances, music, traditions.
I can teach you my language, or languages that I speak; teaching salsa, bachata, jarana (yucatecan tipical dance) lessons (ok I am not a master about this, but I dance and know how to dance, so I can do my best for teaching you).
I would share my food, if you don't mind stop eating meat for a while :p, I can share my bedroom, and if I am not working, i can share my time by showing you my city and my state, I can share recommendations and advices about how to visit México and spetially Yucatán.

I am willing to share my language or any language I speak, and all I know about my culture, my country's history, mayan culture, mexican dances, dance lessons, and pretty much the same I am willing to teach, learn and share with people visiting my place.
I don't cook, but I can do quesadillas and guacamole, or nachos (sorry, no one is perfect), buuut... if you want to cook I wash dishes... all of them!!
