Call me Walo.
I'm a curious, quite imaginative, easily distracted, idealist kind of person.
Sociable, I'm always up for a good laugh, and I won't hesitate starting conversation with someone new.
I'm an architect, passionate about languages, processes, music, structures and design.

PHILOSOPHY

Taking the first step is the hardest, but man does it help taking it with a smile on your face.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got started at couchsurfing while studying abroad in Switzeland. Those were some of the most memorable stories of my trips. I haven't been able to host anyone yet, but I'm looking forward to! Guess it's fair to share some of the awesome experiences and opportunities I've had so far!

兴趣

I enjoy telling a good story, having a deep conversation, laughing until it hurts, mediating an argument, putting people at ease.

I love drawing, daydreaming, going on a wild tangent story whilst designing a project.

I'm passionate about languages, having a conversation on a foreign language gets me an emotional high that lasts several days! My latest attempt was trying to learn the Totonac dialect of the region I'm living now (unsuccessful so far haha)

They are also a delicious excuse to get to know new places and new faces.

I consume books and stories on a daily basis (3 servings as part of a balanced diet)

I just bought a bike to ride at work during the day (loving it).
I've got a growing interest in Botany.
Aaaand I've got a strange habit of picking up interesting-looking rocks (I toss them back to their natural habitat after a while hahaha)

Music:
I like to listen to a bit of everything. It all depends on the mood. Playing piano/guitar/singing is the perfect way to unwind. Attaching a song to a memory is the perfect way to remember.

Books:
The Mysterious Island, Game of Thrones, Mistborn, La Sombra del Viento, Lord of the Rings, The Time Machine, Slaughterhouse-5. I like to read everything (including labels, ingredient lists, instruction manuals, terms of agreement lol) but I enjoy a good sci-fi or fantasy story the most.
