ABOUT ME

I recently finished a three year drama degree in Sydney. Was probably the best three years of my life so far. I am an actor who works in other jobs. My newest and most exciting job is as a set mechanic at the Sydney Opera House. A usual day consists of putting about 20 tons on steel and timber set pieces for an opera together with 16mm bolts and being yelled at by more superior techies. I currently live in Sydney and itching to see the world. I grew up on a farm in the hinterland west of Coffs Harbour with hippies for parents. Solar power, composting toilet, the works. They made me a very well rounded human being.

PHILOSOPHY

I generally have to keep reminding myself that I don't have to live my whole life at once. I am 22 and have a very long time to fit in everything i want to achieve. I am happiest when in the company of good food and people to match.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to CS and I my current living situation does not lend itself well to hosting. I have friends who have done alot of hosting and surfing and all I hear is glowing reports. On my US trip I hope to use CS to meet some excellent Americans and sleep on their very comfy couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never hosted or surfed before, but I have stayed in a house with couch surfers and hosts at the same time. Making me a first hand witness to the whole affair. We ate very well and I heard great stories about travels etc.

Interests

My main career focus is acting. I love the theatre and have managed to score an excellent job in the industry. The majority of my acting work has been on the stage in Sydney. I did a brief stint as a pretend sick guy for med students once - the pay was fantastic! In the future I would like to further explore a career in filmmaking and do a post grad etc. I love making movies. Watching them. Reading books, imagining how I would make them into films - even if they already are.
Beyond that I enjoy a rock climb in the Blue Mountains when the weather is good and the occasional first person shooter video game.
