About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try not to fuck-up my life entirely... :)

ABOUT ME

What could I possibly say?
I would prefer you to figure it out rather than me explaining something you might not even agree.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't spend too much time thinking about it, Go for it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a guest. I have been a host. I kinda try to take care of the Rauma group. I have not been very active lately, but I want to make my come back :) That's basically about it.
Ah yes... one important thing: I usually do not like to plan too long ahead. I think it kills some part of spontaneity. I think this way about couchsurfing as I do apply it to my own life too. I will therefore usually send my requests for a couch quite late. I hope you will not be offended by this. In the same way, if you are coming to Rauma, there is no point to contact me weeks before coming. Send me a message a week or less before your arrival and that will do fine!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of good time!
It has been a bit ackward sometimes, I have to admit. but C'est la Vie!

Travelling, Hiking, biking, Hiking, skiing, Hiking, skating, Hiking, partying and.. HöÖh...Hiking! (and bricolag*ing* as Anita says)

  • partying

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Charlie Chaplin movies, Trainspotting, Le peril jeune, Everything is illuminated are among my favorites

Music: Mano Solo, Rene Aubry, Bob Dylan, Vladimir Visotsky, the Kills, Tinariwen, Xavier Rudd...

Books: Sylvain Tesson and Johnatan Safran Foer are certainly my favorites authors. Some random books that really meant something: A marche forcee -the long walk-(slavomir rawicz), generation routard (philippe gloagen), les cerfs-volants de Kaboul -the kite runner-(Khaled Hosseini), le lièvre de Vatanen (Paasilinna)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmm.... Maybe my first participation to the Finnish Snowshoe Hiking Championship. (http://www.umpihankihiihto.pudasjarvi.fi/english/) A 2-day long orientation race, where we had to spend a night outside in the cold winter of Lapland! It was a pretty damn good experience, and "frozen foreigners" (the name of our team) didn't even finished last!! ;o)

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are a fan of something fun, so passionate that you want to share it with everyone, I could be interested!

I like to be outdoors. I do not know what I could possibly teach you without knowing you... but we can figure it out.
I can teach you bricolaging for example :)
