ABOUT ME

I am a brass player and a band teacher. I love sharing the joy of music with others... especially students. My goal as a teacher is to allow students to understand that as they continue to play, they will get better, and be able to play even more. I want them to enjoy the entire process of making music, not just the end result.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mainly host during the summer now that I teach full time. I love to spend time with other surfers and when I am at work all the time that can be difficult. During the summer, though, I'd love to host and surf as much as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted mostly, but every hosting experience has been stellar. I can only hope I'm as good a surfer as mine have been.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I met a local king in Abhomey in Benin in West Africa. While he did not have any political power anymore, he was still quite influential and it was a little intimidating meeting him. Was also chased after men with machetes while in another part of town. Fun times.
