About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Wanda, I am 26 years old and I just graduated from university to be a doctor :)
I am taking a few months off before I start being an adult and want to travel a bit, while working on my doctoral thesis.
I have spent a large portion of my life abroad, starting with different school exchanges to France (3 months), and then Brasil (for a year). After high school I took a gap year volunteering in Mozambique and when I came back to Germany and didn't get into med school there, I decided to go study in Poland.
Best time of my life! Wroclaw is just amazing and in case you haven't been, it's really worth it ;)

My hobbies are cooking, reading, playing board games, building stuff out of wood... But whenever possible I like to go outside to climb and hike (unfortunately no mountains in northern parts of Germany!), to sail, to canoe, to bike...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The question should rather be why I haven't been on Couchsurfing much longer! ;D

I love to meet people from all over the world and believe that the world needs to grow closer together and needs to understand each other - especially in a time like we have it now with many conflicts and wars going on all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to read authors from the countries that I am currently travelling in.
Other than that I either read the complete garbage fantasy books 😂, or the opposite: books with feminist topics such as Khaled Hosseinis 'A thousand splendid suns' or 'Americanah' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you were to host me, I would cook you an amazing dinner (mostly vegetarian) or some dessert if you want that. :)

Countries I’ve Lived In
