Overview
About Me
I am an easygoing traveller, happy with just bread, water and a mattress, and always up for adventures!
I try to live each day to the fullest. Well, not true. Sometimes I like to hang around and do nothing... I want to see as much of this world as possible, to help whereever I can, to live and be aware of it and appreciate it, to leave out no adventure, to fight for the good things and to have fun!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When traveling, it's a great way to get to know people. When being at home, it's a great way to escape from your daily routine.
All my guests were really nice people and I enjoyed hosting them a lot. My experiences as a guest were the same. I've only tried couchsurfing in Madagascar, Benin and Togo so far, and had the most generous, happy, open-minded, interesting and relaxed hosts.

Languages - especially their historic or cognitive perspective.
Food - eating and cooking likewise.
Music - from opera to techno, with a special fondness of early reggae and indie folk/rock.
Art - more perceiving than producing, but I like to be creative as a tailor, photographer, soap maker, designer, singer and writer.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to listen to Beirut, Belle & Sebastian, Ben Bernie, Billie Holiday, Cake, Delroy Wilson, Diana Krall, Elliot Smith, Funny van Dannen, Jimmy Hendrix, John Holt, Johnny Cash, Kings of Convenience, Louis Jordan, Pablo Casals, Paolo Conte, Portishead, Sibelius, Sidney Bechet, The Tallest Man on Earth, Tom Waits, Tschaikowsky and, of course, Wanda.
I like old movies, new movies, funny, sad or strange movies, independent movies, everything except most of the big block busters from Hollywood… Though there are some good ones!
My favourite authors are Margrete Atwood, Cormac McCarthy, Colum McCann, Banana Yoshimoto and many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Please ask me again, when we meet. I have some great stories from my travels, but none that I could to label as the most 'amazing'…
Teach, Learn, Share
I am good at languages, their history and their relationships. I am interested in almost every topic, well, not so much in cars and chemistry, but pretty much the rest.
