About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My big mission in life is to CREATE. Creating art that inspires people, create meeting places where people can open up to each other, creating new ways of looking at life... Anything creative is included!

ABOUT ME

Kind, chaotic, creative, a dreamer. I'm very interested in permaculture, a way to live in harmony with nature, but also with people. I love to see people for who they really are, if we open up, we're really beautiful! :) And I love making art, it transports me to a magnificent world and almost feels like enlightment. Sometimes I let myself be bothered by uncertainty and fears (don't we all...) but I strive to conquer these to be able to do what I really want.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything will turn out allright in the end, and if it's not allright, it's not the end. We are capable of miracles, if we're ready to face our fears and keep going. Follow your heart, it will guide you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now we need some time to come into our new home ourselves, but as soon as that's done and we've figured out our lives a little bit more, you'll be the first to know! ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed once now, and it was a very positive experience. I'm looking forward to more!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind, As it is in Heaven, Chocolat, Frida, Lord of the Rings, Notting Hill, lots of disney movies... Enya, Kate Bush, Emiliana Torrini, Laïs, Lila Downs, Putumayo cd's, Dire Straits, Sting, Habib Koite, the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, I could go on forever... The Never Ending Story, Lord of the Rings, The Deathgate saga, The Hobbit, Jane Eyre, Brother Cadfael detective series, Harry Potter, etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I migrated to an entirely foreign country, that's certainly an experience! I've seen people open up like flowers, it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful and powerful we are.

Oooh and once, on my birthday, we camped on the top of a near mountain and were amazed by a full-scale northern light show, with a starry sky and a full moon... It was really magical!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people to see more in everyday objects. With my wild imagination and great perception I can fly mountains and wander through the tealeaves in a teacup. That's why I love art, everything's possible! I could also show you how to make vegetarian sushi, make lovely crackers out of seeds, make bread with home made sourdough, etc...
But I could learn a lot too! To make more things, to hear stories of the lives of others, gardening, anything! And I love sharing, it's what makes things go round.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Creativity, games (the old-fashioned ones, like cards and monopoly), stories, conversations about life, cooking (I cook vegetarian), hiking, some basic permaculture...
