About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Brittany, and I'm a 28yo travel enthusiast who works as a wedding photographer in the summer and a waitress in the winter :) My next trip is in December; I'll be going back to Thailand! After that I'm planning a huge trip to Europe, the UK, and Asia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't make much money back home, but my heart truly lives abroad I save up every dollar I can with my super tight budget and then use it all on plane tickets. I love meeting new people from around the world and forming real connections. This seems to be the best way to get the most of of both worlds!
Interests
I've always been obsessed with taking photos I'm a huge romantic at heart so naturally I went into wedding photography right out of highschool. When I'm not working on photos I'm probably reading lol You can always find a book in my bag I read mostly fiction, but I also enjoy travel related novels (whether they're true stories or not!). You might want to step back when I'm in the kitchen, I tend to make a mess haha But fret not! Im actually known to come up with some great tasting plates of delish grub :) I like using fresh herbs and spices that I grow in tiny jars on my windowsill.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Whenever I travel, I always seem to form a deep connection with at least 1 person abroad. When I was on a particularly long flight, there was this little boy sitting next to me who didn't speak English. Once his mother dozed off, he silently started offering me little pieces of his snacks. Without saying a word to each other, we shared a meal together. He taught me how to crack open these huge nuts he had bought at the airport. It was one of the most amazing connections I ever formed with someone without having to say a single word to them. We enjoyed our entire flight together, sharing food and giggling at the movie. It's like we had this little secret that no one knew about. I've done a lot of great things in my life, but I find the greatest joy in the simplest of pleasures.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in learning new languages! Right now I'm learning French, and I can introduce myself in a half dozen other languages. Next will probably be Italian or Spanish. Any takers?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm really easy to get along with and never have trouble holding up my end of the conversation. I love to share stories and information, and yes I'd definitely want to keep in touch! I'm very clean and respectful, and I have a very open non judgemental frame of thought. Always joking and laughing, I've been told I can be fun to be around ;)
