Music, Movies, and Books

And onto my favorite question-- MEDIA!

Music is my life. I listen to anything from jazz, hip hop, metal, neo-classical, classic rock and everything in between! I love going to gigs and exploring new sounds.

Books: Charles Bukowiski, Chuck Palahniuk, Beat poetry, David Sedaris, Phillip K Dick, Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, Carlos Castaneda, Jhonen Vasquez (Invader Zim), Tolstoy, Chomsky, Mary Roach, sociology/psychology books, technical books by shady Russians...

Movies: I have a very short attention span when it comes to movies and I love movies that make me think or laugh-- Amelie, Donnie Darko, Waking Life, Ghost in the Shell I and II, Pan's Labyrinth, Snatch, Lola Rennt, Children of Men, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, etc. I am a cinematography freak, so I love moves that are well-shot and composed. A good soundtrack is a bonus too...

If you've gotten this far, I'm impressed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a week-long kayaking expedition on the western coast of Scotland with no previous kayaking experience (and substandard gear) and ended up in the beautiful Sound of Arisaig.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach: Computer-related activities (programming, networking, misc hackery), drawing with code, English, dancing poorly, cooking mexican food, stuff, things.

Would like to learn: diving, rock climbing, skydiving, play an instrument, Salsa, etc

What I Can Share with Hosts

At the very least I can share a drink and a laugh! I love cooking and I'm also happy to teach English!
