About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Escaping from Cubicle Land, reconnecting with my Latin roots, and becoming a true world citizen
ABOUT ME
ALL about me??? Wow - that's asking a lot. So as not to bore everyone, I'll stick with the basics: I'm an engineer by education and trade, but I'm trying to move on into other professions. My dream job du jour is to run my own import/export business focusing on Latin America.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live . . . as long as your "living" doesn't hamper someone else's. Keep learning. Appreciate your friends and family, and let them know you appreciate them. Don't be a "slave to the grind." Lend a helping hand. But all that said, have high expectations for yourself and others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in 5 cities as I move across the country to my new home in California. Best story is that 2 days after signing up, I got an invite to a TB group happy hour. When I looked at the RSVPs, I saw a friend from Buenos Aires. She didn't know I was from there, and I didn't know she had a relative there (who she happened to be visiting THAT week!). What a small Couch Surfing world!
Interests
Like most of you, my main passion is traveling and meeting people from other countries and cultures. I like hiking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. I can also dance a little Salsa and Swing. I occasionally do volunteer work. I take photography more seriously than the average snap-shot taker, but I hesitate to even call myself a "hobbiest" because there are so many great ones out there. I'm interested in history and politics, but I'll admit I know a lot less than I would like.
