About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live, love and laugh! Respect others & yourself.
ABOUT ME
I relocated to Newcastle, Australia in 2011 after growing up in Vancouver, Canada. Having an Aussie mum helps with dual citizenship :)
I am young at heart and have lots of energy, although as I get older I'm learning to prioritize my time and spend it with people that I truly care about.
I'm a very active person who is always up for trying something new and enjoy being social. Sometimes I need to remind myself to stop and chill out!
I'm usually in the middle of the circle; connecting people, coordinating events, making change happen! I'm passionate about green living and getting businesses to think about the planet and people, not just profits.
PHILOSOPHY
'Carpe Diem'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted and couch surfed in 2011 for a few years. Since settling in Newcastle, haven't been as active.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've not only hosted some travellers, but have also stayed in a number of Turkish homes and a few in Europe. I have had some amazing experiences while meeting some great people who have been able to share their culture with me. Good times!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like non-mainstream movies, ones with subtitles that give you a glimpse into the lifestyles and cultures from around the world. Comedies are good too! I don't do horror movies.
Music: I'm into most music and love seeing live shows and going to festivals. There's something about seeing an artist in person, the energy from the crowd, the bass that vibrates in your chest... Recent shows include Sneaky Sound System, Ministry of Sound and Vancouver Folk Festival. A wide range!
Books: fiction; Life of Pi, Secret Life of Bees, Joy Luckclub, many more that I can't remember.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to narrow down to JUST one... volunteering in Honduras with a medical team and helping the locals with medicines, eye glasses and clothing was pretty cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
