About Me

I am originally from the Philippines who just loves to travel and explore the world. As of the moment, I am now living in Valencia, Spain where I am an English teacher.

I love collecting mini replicas/figurines of touristy places I have been to and exchanging postcards.

Should I meet up with you or host you, it would be nice to receive a postcard from your country or hometown as a token of appreciation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and I want to experience homestaying at somebody's place and get more immersed in their culture or make friends in general. Also I like to experience some traditions when I visit a place that has an ongoing festivity.

Interests

-- TRAVEL --
I love to travel. I try to find the best and cheapest deals possible when traveling. And I am very detailed on what I plan to visit and this includes exact time, exact things to do, and specific locations. Although sometimes I just tend to join free walking tours or completely wing it. I also have a penchant for buying any travel-related stuff from world map items, souvenirs, portable luggage scale, and of course travel-size toiletries. I collect maps, mini replicas, tickets, and postcards.

-- DANCE --
I also love to dance. I started dancing since I was 3 I think. I have no problem in dancing any kind of dance but I'm more comfortable with Latin dances or hiphop. I have yet to try tap dance.

-- CLOTHES --
I won't say fashion coz sometimes I just wear whatever feels comfortable but I have a thing for scarves especially knitted ones or the infinity ones. I also love shopping in thrifted stores and boutiques. (Branded and fashionable items need not be expensive all the time.)

-- FOOD and DRINKS--
Food: anything chocolate (except white chocolate) and anything spicy. I also like pasta, rice, bread, and cheese. I like various food depending on how they are cooked. I eat everything and anything except for when I have allergy on it.
Drinks: tea (I am allergic to green tea. I don't like commercial milk tea a.k.a cold milk tea with taro pearls. The only milk teas I like are English milk tea and Indian tea.)

-- BODIES OF WATER --
I am more comfortable in doing stuff in the water than on land. When I am in the beach, either I wade/swim or I stay completely out of the sun. hahaha. I am not that kind of person who will go to the beach with a good swimwear just to have a tan coz I am already tanned! I can be quite seasick when in boats but I can manage.

Music, Movies, and Books

-- MUSIC --
Latin music, commercial pop, R&B, and hiphop. Also Disney music.

-- MOVIES --
Disney, Pixar, horror (particularly Asian ones. American horror doesn't really scare me), romantic comedy, dance, adventure, fantasy, foreign films, comedy, some action movies, and some inspirational movies.

-- BOOKS --
I enjoy reading books but I can't stand reading self-help books. I prefer to read those where I can use my imagination. I have a tendency to buy books that have a nice and convincing cover or title. If it's too plain, I won't read it. I am a JK Rowling fan and I love all the Harry Potter books and its spin-offs. The Casual Vacancy though is not much of my preference. It really bores me to read political novels. I also love Paulo Coelho. Mystery books are also my thing.

-- TV SHOWS --
Whatever I feel like watching on Netflix

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: my native languages (Aside from Tagalog, I also speak Kapampangan, another Philippine language)
