About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experiencing life and contributing to the life experiences of others.

ABOUT ME

Basically, I'm an open minded guy who loves to laugh a lot...perhaps a little too much. ;) I haven't been able to do much traveling due to lack of funds and time, but now that I'm graduating from college, it's time to get out of the US. To be perfectly honest, traveling is my life objective: getting out and seeing the rest of this planet and, most importantly, meeting the people on it.

PHILOSOPHY

Never accept only that which you call "normal." Always open your mind and heart to the entire world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first heard about couchsurfing from my friend Ashley, and I immediately became interested in the whole concept. One of the main things that I want to get out of my future traveling experiences is to meet the locals. Not just seeing the sights and taking pictures. I want to get to know people from all walks of life and make new friends in all corners of the globe, and I think that couchsurfing is the perfect way to do that.

Interests

Linguistics, foreign languages, foreign cultures, artsy fartsy stuff, going for walks at night, exploring, contemplating anything and everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

My interest in such things is pretty eclectic. For movies, I could go from watching a meaningful, independent foreign film to watching a big budget, special-effects-inundated flick. The same goes for music; if my ears approve, then I approve. So, I'll give anything a listen. And for books, I'm actually a rather picky reader, but I'd have to say my favorite book of all time is the sci-fi classic "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done in my life was to go to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. It was just so surreal for me because it was my first time being in a region that was so geographically different from where I had lived my whole life. It was definitely an experience that I'll never forget.
