My name is Ryan and my wife's is Katie. We live in small but tidy apartment with a spare room in Taipei city about a two minute walk from Wanlong Station off the Green Line. We have been living in the Taipei for three years now and I would say we have a decent knowledge of the city and its spots. We like to cook during the week and we hate wasting weekends. We both work as teachers every Monday to Friday so we don't usually go out during the week.

We decided to join couchsurfing because we both like to host, meet new people (especially while traveling), and to be very honest, we are going on a very large trip this fall and we were hoping to build some credibility so that when we head out on the road, maybe someone will return the favor.

Intereses

We have a range of interest but the most commonly practiced would be photography, movies, night out with friends, hiking, beach lounging (if its ever nice enough), eating, reading, exercising, scuba diving, and drinking coffee.

Besides our spare bedroom, we can share our knowledge of the city, as well as recommendations for food spots, night life, areas to explore, and our favorite activities.
