Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It’s been 7 years since I couchsurfed, during which I mostly went with hostels. It was such a delight to see the old reviews. Meanwhile I realised that most of the CS fellows I met have become inactive over the past years - Covid has also made the world more alienated I’m afraid. But I’m now back!

I’m open to any genre (except horror..) though I spent most time reading about culture, history, philosophy, but it may be worth mentioning that my book shelf was recently added “bicycle repairing 101” - wouldn’t it be super to cycle Europe!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, I went to Russia on foot via Narva checkpoint in Estonia in August 2024 driven by curiosity about how the country/people were doing given the ongoing Russian Ukraine war and western sanctions. The border check took 6 hours.
