Studied and worked in Belgium until my late twenties. I travelled a lot but wasn't happy when I came back home. So then I decided it was time to go and discover new places around the world. Lived in New Zealand for a year as a cook, currently travelling around before settling down again in Canada...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always travelled with friends but now it's time to do some solo travelling. Like I said I like to experience new thing, learn new things, meet new people. Seems like Couchsurfing is a good starting point!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: If it's catchy, I'll probably like it :) Mostly punkrock, soul, hip-hop, americana, ....
Movies: My favorite movie is the next movie I'll watch! I love movies! For example, I can watch Citizen Kane, Star Wars and Superbad back to back, I love movies that bad. Always interested in movie history and trivia as well!
Books: I'm slowly getting back into reading books after an overdose of reading. Among my favorites are Cormac McCarthy, Irvine Welsh, history books, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Other than writing a movie script for Titanic 2 as an 11 year old which involved me seducing Meg Ryan, I owed a pop-up bar in Belgium. We used to build temporary bars in a old/abandoned spaces and host parties, catering events, ... A fantastic experience and one that I'm proud of.

I'm not a real specialist, more of a know-a-bit-of-everything-guy. So I can teach a lot of trivia :) I love to exchange knowledge about all kinds of things, history, art, food, drinks, ... I'm also pretty good with languages so I can always teach a bit of Dutch or French...
