ABOUT ME

I'm pretty enthusiastic about meeting people and learning all about different cultures. I like to watch science programs and experiment with science projects.

Most of my family is from Hong Kong, but I was born and raised in the USA.

I had a beehive that I was very proud of and it made great honey. I love beekeeping so much that I wrote a 140 page thesis on it!

I'd say I'm pretty good at trivia and really good at the games Taboo and Scrabble.

I really really love cookies (but who doesn't, right?) and baking.

Finally, I'm not going to lie...I'm a little bit of a grandma. But, a cool adventurous grandma. You know, like that grandma who buys you a dried alligator head with glass eyeballs from Florida for your birthday.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy (as cheesy as it sounds) is live and behave in a way that impacts other people, communities, and the environment in a positive way, or at least as much as you can. What goes around comes around, right?!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to meet you in Uganda if you are here! I am pretty busy right now so I might not have time to host you. But if I do, I would be more than happy to. Right now I am based in a city in Western Uganda called Hoima. Many people pass this way up to Murchison Falls. If you plan on going to Masindi or Murchison Falls to do some tracking or safar-ing and need an extra buddy to cut costs, let me know! I would be interested :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed, hosted and gone to an occasional meeting. Almost all of these experiences have been most excellent.

Music: I mostly listen to news all day (boring, I know) but when I'm not I'm probably listening to Sam Cooke, Bjork, Animal Collective, Guided by Voices, Kraftwerk, Annie Lennox/Eurythmics, John Denver, Digable Planets or MC Solaar.

Books: American Gods. Really, anything written by Neil Gaiman.
