Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To immerse myself in the history, culture, and geography of others. To smile and radiate.
ABOUT ME
I am a 28 year-old psychology and law graduate.
I view law as a tool to be used to achieve my end-goals. I am a passionate, compassionate, environmentalist.
I am passionate about people, music, art, and sport. I do my best to dabble in all.
A strong cup of coffee and an engaging conversation can be the only necessary components to a fulfilling block of hours.
PHILOSOPHY
People before places, places before things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I found out about couchsurfing after it was recommended by many friends. I have a small flat in Halifax but would be willing to vacate my room for the right person! Otherwise, I'd be glad to meet up and show you around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed with fantastic hosts in Germany (2 locations), Colombia, Morocco, and New York. CS has been my lifeline to better understanding the cultures of others!
I have never personally hosted, however I have met up with travelers at friends' places and had good chats about what's worth seeing in Halifax. I finally have a bit more of a stable living situation and am looking to host soon!
Interests
People: Tell me something interesting! I believe that understanding the human condition is a lifelong journey. I'm always happy to add something to the memory bank.
Music: I love listening to music, creating, and playing jams for a crowd. I host an 80s club night in Halifax and used to host a punk-inspired radio show.
I love introducing people to new music or basking in aural enjoyment in the company of others. Every genre has some good - you just have to dig a bit.
Art: Although (perhaps with the exception of music) I inherited none of my family's artistic talents, I think that this has spawned a healthy interest in (particularly modern) art. I am especially enamored with that which someone close to me has created.
Sport: Not as serious as I used to be, I truly enjoy the social nature of casual sport. I am willing to play any/everything, but as of now some of my passions are tennis, badminton, soccer, hockey, table tennis, skiing, cycling.
