Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore the world one country at a time and get to know more people.
ABOUT ME
I am a graduate student in Geology here in Philippines. I volunteer in a science-oriented group and I get to help by joining a team of scientists that conducts environmental investigations. We get people to understand the disastrous effects of some construction projects to the environment in our country. I spend most of my time doing school stuff and volunteering from time to time, reading books, and watching movies.
I am new to traveling but I have always wanted to go-out and explore the world, learn about other cultures, and meet new people. I love music, singing, and table tennis. I have always wanted to go to places and also become a writer.
PHILOSOPHY
I enjoy learning new things about religions and culture. I believe that we are all the same in one way or the other. People come and go, but it is the moments and memories spent with them that matter. I believe that it is necessary for us to surround ourselves with the people we love and treasure. Also, there is no other way to spend life but to enjoy and to make the world a little bit happier and livable for everyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, I cannot offer my couch for surfing but I could be available for meet-ups in the Philippines.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been a member of this site for 2 years now and I plan to participate in the near future by surfing! My first couchsurfing was in Vietnam in December 2013 and it was a nice but brief experience. My host was pleased with the book I gave as a gift.

Music, Movies, and Books
I think I have read a lot of books but some that I find interesting are: the Harry Potter series, books by Dan Brown, Siddharta, books by Michael Crichton, non-fictional books by Richard Preston, Michael Shermer, and Richard Dawkins.
I listen to a variety of music genre but often, I find myself scouring the internet for covers of more recent songs.
I am a fan of fantasy movies, art and foreign films, movies that belong to the "piece of life" genre, and action and adventure. I am also fond of watching TV series, mostly from US.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If there is one cool thing this year, it is when I joined a scientific cruise, aboard a German research vessel, during the summer of 2013 across the Pacific waters from Taiwan to Indonesia.
In the past, I have encountered a group of guerrilla fighters by chance in the Philippines, and they are the most generous, disciplined, and courteous people I have ever met.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy learning a lot about languages and culture, so these are usually what I ask people of other nationalities who I meet for the first time. I know many people are not good in speaking English, so I would love to help them by practicing with them if I could (I am not a native speaker). I am pretty good at playing table tennis (pingpong) and have played with Germans, Americans, and Dutch who were also pretty good. I can also sing, maybe we could jam if we have the chance.
