ABOUT ME

I have many interests including photography, yoga, kayaking, mushroom hunting, dancing, good music, travel...I have a wonderful labrador/Bernese Mt. Dog mix. I live in the country in a beautiful place. I always look forward to coming back to Vermont after travels. I have one 25 year old daughter.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in helping each other out, building community and sharing everything we can. I also believe in doing our part to leave the world a little better off than we found it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I always stay with locals when traveling if possible- B&B's, Casas Particulares, friends of friends, so I want to continue that and share my place and experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Ottawa to go to a Leonard Cohen concert and stayed with a single woman who was very hospitable and cooked my friend and I a wonderful meal. Comfortable bed and good conversation. A woman in Colorado gave me the keys to her house and car as she left town. All I did was drop her car off for repairs in exchange. What more could you ask for?

Brazil(the movie), documentaries, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Bruce Cochburn (gotta love those Canadians), blues, rock, folk, reggae- my daughter and I saw the Wailers at a club recently. They were awesome!

Stayed with a Bedouin family in their cave in Petra, Jordan. Rode horseback through the desert near the great pyramids of Egypt. Hitchhiked from New Hampshire to Aspen Colorado with my skis, boots and poles, skied 3 days and hitched back. Got caught in a riptide in Mexico and almost drowned. There's more.
