ABOUT ME

Ok, well...I'm originally from Germany, but studies brought me up to Edinburgh, UK, where I was living for over 9 years before I decided on a change of scenery and came to Finland. When that didn't really work out for me I decided to give living in Australia a go for a new job. Well, turns out I rather live in northern Europe, so I came back and live now in Stockholm. So far so good! The adventure that is life continues! Yay! :)

PHILOSOPHY

It's good to step back from things now and then to get the bigger picture, review and, maybe, take a new bearing.
I also like this quote from The Little Prince: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started my CS experience by going to gatherings of the local CSers in Edinburgh and met loads of lovely people this way. I've hosted some great people and I have been fortunate enough to meet and stay with some lovely CS people during my recent journeys as well.

兴趣

hillwalking, cross-country skiing and surfing; being outdoors is very important to me and I love exploring the area by bike or on foot; baking; I LOVE tea and have a pretty big selection of all sorts, so if you come to my place you'll be in for a treat! I enjoy going to the movies, sitting in a cafe and reading a good book, meeting friends for a glass beer or wine (yep, most often I mean 1 glass as I'm a light-weight)... In recent years I've spent quite a bit of my time on personal development, so it is a topic close to my heart.

Music: I'm into all sorts of music, you can find tunes from Rock/Metal/Goth/Folk/Classic/EBM/Jazz in my collection...I often tune into spotify stations or playlists of other people when I work.

Um, well, I can teach German, how to play nyckelharpa and you can learn how to bake yummy German style cheese cake. What would I like to learn? I'd like to learn how to knit and crochet.
