About Me
Hello everyone!
My name is Natalia, I'm a researcher from Valencia, Spain. Originally I am Russian born in Central Asia. And I am looking forward to discover my future destination.
I am fond of art, history, music, poetry or whatever comes along. I think I am an old soul that likes spontaneity and experiencing different shades of life.
There is a quote by R.M.Rilke that I want to be here:
"Lass dir Alles geschehn: Schönheit und Schrecken.
Man muss nur gehn: Kein Gefühl ist das fernste"
The approximate translation is:
"Let everything happen to you - beauty and terror.
Man should keep going. No destination is final."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like travelling on my own and getting to know people. It is a part of the travel experience that makes it work for me, even though I am pretty introverted.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am mostly (but not only) into classical music.
My list of best ever musical creations that I listen to regularly includes: Beethoven no. 3 and Rahmaninoff no. 2 for piano and orchestra, Tchaikovsky's serenade for strings, violin concert and ouverture 1812, 9th symphony by Dvorak, piano pieces by Alfred Schnittke. Let me know if that resonates with you :)
My fav books mainly would fall into one of categories: critical realism and drama, dystopian, existentialism or poetry.
My favourite films are Flying over the cuckoo´s nest, Fragment of an Empire (USSR,1929), but I do not watch films that frequently to give opinions. I really-really like cartoons called Hedgehog in the fog and The glass harmonica. They are short, so give them a try someday :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess being a pilgrim and walking Camino de Santiago two very different times. It was amazing to me not because I view it as an achievement, but rather for how it made me feel.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can try language exchange. I can share facts about my scientific field or give a small lesson of piano :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can practice together something artistic or just play chess. Also when I am in Valencia I have experience of giving excursions about history and heritage of the city.
