About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to keep "tranquilo"

ABOUT ME

Hmmm, I am a High School Physical Education and Health teacher that attempts my best at playing the part. I get to play sports all day with kids, it doesn't get much better than that. I'm born and raised in the Bay Area and I love showing visitors my favorite places. I'm happy to host and absolutely love the idea of CS and the passion behind it.

PHILOSOPHY

Optimistic... having a positive attitude doesn't necessarily get you everything you want, but hope can get you far, persistence as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attempt to host as much as possible, however there are certain times during the school year where I am extremely busy. Don't be afraid to send a request, I will let ya know if I can host, make a local recommendation or grab a cup of coffee or a cocktail!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have completed my first two surfing experiences in Puerto Rico and they were FANTASTIC! I can't wait to stay with more awesome people in my traveling future!

Interests

Traveling (I caught the bug!), Teaching, Water polo, swimming, Backpacking, Surfing, Yoga, Scuba Diving, snowboarding, hiking, playing volleyball, wakeboarding, camping, and attending concerts now and then.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not much a movie person, if I've seen it once, that's enough for me. As for books, I have attempted to renew a liking for reading, and while I don't sit still very well, I'm currently reading some chic lit ;)

My ears enjoy everything from hip-hop to Latin American reggae and back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As of this moment, I've been pretty lucky so far and would say that my most amazing things done and seen would be: the top of El Yunque and scuba diving in Puerto Rico, cliff jumping in Italy and not necessarily the surfing in Costa Rica but the amazing people I met while doing so.

I've also visited Guanajuato, Mexico... just about the damn near most GORGEOUS place I have seen, in pictures and in real life.

Back in 2008, I took a 54 day backpacking trip. During the trip I conquered NYC, Philadelphia, Jersey, Chicago, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Europe: London, Amsterdam and Italy. Amazing.... simply, amazing!

I've recently traveled throughout the US to Miami, Las Vegas and Arizona.
