ABOUT ME

Currently my wife and I are on a 10+ month trip around the world, which began in the South Pacific and will end in Europe in the summer of 2007. Before we left I was a fiscal analyst and my wife was an interior decorator. We have been married six years and have one yellow lab/golden retriever dog at home (that we miss very much). The trip has been a life changing experience and we have enjoyed nearly every aspect of it, especially the people we have met along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

They are both very much cliches', but I try to live every day to the fullest and treat others how I would like to be treated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have never "officially couch surfed", but have been offered lots of beds along our journey. We especially like those generous and kind Kiwis!

I enjoy photography, travel, hiking, climbing, reading, and real estate. I used to surf every day when I lived near the sea, however when we moved to the mountains that sport took a back seat to snowboarding. I was also very involved with the volunteer search and rescue unit in our mountain community of Bend, Oregon. Much of my time was spent training our dog for search and rescue, which I found very rewarding.

We didn't have a TV at home, so we watched lots of movies and read lots of books. A few movies we enjoy are Little Miss Sunshine, Napoleon Dynamite, and The Usual Suspects. Books include: Dark Star Safari, The Kite Runner, and the Harry Potter series. As for music - almost anything, but especially indy pop.

A dream come true was bareboat sailing the Vavau' Group in the Tonga Islands with my wife and two good friends.
