About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I can't afford to show my kids the world, so maybe I can bring a bit of the world to us.

ABOUT ME

I'm just a dad with two boys. We fish, garden, do FIRST Lego League, raise chickens and cook. We have a playroom someone could crash in. Life is all about sitting around the supper table and talking about something new and different.

PHILOSOPHY

You've got to wait for my book for this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to host. I'll buy the food you ask for if you help cook, and tell my kids some cool stories about the big wide world at the dinner table. All good.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hitchiked across the US in 90-91. I moved around doing migrant labor for some years. I lived off the grid out in the middle of the woods for about 12 years. Now I'm as American as apple pie, but with less cinnamin and sugar than usual.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up on a swim team. When I was travelling in Florida I saw a school of dolphins a quarter of a mile out. I've always loved dophins so I swam out to them. When I was 50' away I realized they had a school of fish circled and they were eating them. Scared the crap out of me. The whole swim back I was scared of sharks because of the blood in the water.
