The Kubric films are favorites. The Malcolm X autobio was one of the best reads ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Ilianza Norte in Ecuador. Tried stand-up and improv comedy. Saw a flock of wild parrots in the Amazon. Met Patch Adams (there's a movie about him). Perfected mushroom risotto. Snorkeled in the Galapagos. Replaced the flushing mechanism of my toilet.
