ABOUT ME

Well, here we go:

My name, as you possibly read, is Manuel Bund. I'm on the best way to become a professional musician. I play the guitar and the piano (a bit), I sing, write songs and play in a band.

I simply love life, and I try to spend as much time as possible with other people.

Also, I love cooking. I often go out to the market to buy fresh vegetables and fruit, and there are times I spend up to two hours in the kitchen to cook for my friends. It's important for me to be always with good people, and I like to drink a glass of wine with them and talk about anything what's on our minds.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a newbie here, so I didn't really participate yet... but I'm lookin' forward to do.

It's always a pleasure for me to meet people from all over the world, so this is the chance for me to get to know new folks. I already had some people sleeping at my place, with some I spent lots of time on talking, performing music and drinking wine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent some weeks in France at a piano-teachers' place, she taught me how to play piano and showed me around in Nice. I loved it.

Some years ago I spent two fantastic weeks in Manchester, UK. I won't ever forget those days, for I did music everyday, got to know some of the loveliest people I've ever met and simply fell in love with the city... I cried like a dog when I had to leave..

Also, I did a lot of couchsurfing in Austria.

Interests

As I already wrote, I'm well interested in music, both doing and listening. It's one of the greatest things for me to perform music with other musicians.

Also, I love cooking ... and eating :-)

I read a lot of books, and I love to go for a walk and spend time outside as well as goin' to museums and concerts.

Music: this list would be too long. But to make it short, I love quite any kind of music, if it's composed and played with heart and head. Examples: Damien Rice, I am Kloot, Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, Tom Waits, etc...

Books: Garcia Marquez, Günther Grass, Earnest Hemmingway, John Steinbeck, etc...

Teach, Learn, Share

I think very much about life, and I went through quite hard times, so I can share lots of thoughts and ideas.

Also, I'm a guitarist and songwriter, so I can teach about how to write a song and play with words, as well as some techniques on the guitar.

And learning: well, everything, I love to learn.
