Overview
About Me
I am a 29 year old rock climbing, trick riding, paddling, adventurous nomad. I work as an outdoor educator taking youth into the wilderness to expand their horizons, themselves and their capacities. The seasonal nature of my field leads me to chase the sun, and the jobs, around the world.
I write about my adventures on my blog Wayfinder Ali here:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I want to really feel a place, I want to see cities and countries through the eyes of the people who live there and love them. I don't want to just take a photo at a famous place and check a box on a life list. I want to know what it's like to be a local. I love meeting new people and learning about the world and about humanity. Couchsurfing really reinforces the truth that 95% of humans are really wonderful people and we all have more in common that we have differences.
My job as an outdoor educator has pretty terrible pay. I often find myself in foreign countries for a week or two between trips and needing a place to crash, so I turn to couch surfing because it helps me get by and gives me a fantastic understanding of the place I'm staying.
MY COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in Nantes, France with my boyfriend Tony and solo across the USA on my way from North Carolina to California.
